Cameroon includes RTS,S malaria vaccine in routine vaccination programme

Cameroon announced on 22 January that it has included the RTS,S malaria vaccine in its national routine vaccination programme. It is the first country in the world to launch a routine vaccination programme for children against malaria. In an interview with the Swiss German NZZ, Manuel Hetzel, President of the Swiss Malaria Group, described this step as "extremely good news".
