Integrated Vector Management (IVM) implemented by the research center icipe. Testing a rollout of larviciding with Bti, environmental management and house eave screening, accompanied by community education and promotion of IVM on the policy level.

Cattle-targeted interventions for control of malaria and other vector-borne diseases of humans and animals. Implemented by the research center icipe. Field-testing of a new vector control paradigm that targets cattle-feeding vectors accompanied by community education.

Project 2
RTS,S: most advanced candidate for a malaria vaccine. Swiss TPH helped coordinate a large-scale clinical trail involving more than 16,000 children. Swiss TPH also calculated the long-term impact and cost-effectiveness of RTS,S in 43 African countries.

Launch of ACTELLIC 300CS for IRS & following establishment of NgenIRS project. The project's aim is to make the most effective, long lasting insecticides available to malaria control programmes to support insecticide resistance management strategies.
